Mongolian (or maybe some other Asian culture?) relationship with dogs?

in india too dogs are considered as the vehicle of Shiva and Datradeya and there is a particular temple in Andra pradesh where dogs are worshipped every day. There is a temple dedicated to rats in Rajasthan.
