Are the native americans of north/south america of mongol descent or asian?

I myself am part Colombian native american. I was wondering if all native americans are considered asian. There are similar teeth structure, DNA structure, genetic diseases, and epicanthic folds within these groups. So i wondered if i cud take my partial native american blood and say im part mongolian instead.
