Help! Pokemon Fire Red problem?

I accidentally skipped misty's gym and got the move cut from the caption of the ship but cant go back to misty's gym because you need her gym badge to us the move cut, and now I'm stuck and don't know where to go. If i go up there's a police officer saying the road is closed, if i go right a snorlax is blocking the way, and its impossible to go left or down please help
