How to install hid conversion kit in 1996 grand prix?

I was wondering if anyone knew how to install a conversion kit on a 1996 grand prix, the problem is the headlamp bulb wont come out ( to be able to put the new bulb in) the kit I have says its for my model, what do I do, I dont want to pull to hard and break the lamp, but is it just really tight or what?
