Copyright Law on translating TV series?

You are very smart about NOT wanting to infringe on copy rights. Do research about the show, and see who owns, or has ownership rights. I think they would LOVE to have the show play somewhere else, more money for them, and the actors get residuals. They should provide you with the scripts, you translate them, and you get PAID. Everyone wins.
